Circular economy
SONOFET, a manufacturer of plastic films and packaging, relies on a circular economy system aimed at minimizing waste and maximizing the reuse of resources.
Our subsidiaries offer a complete recycling and recovery solution for plastic waste and scrap
for the automotive industry, and more specifically the plastics industry.
SONOFET handles the collection, sorting, grinding, granulation, and packaging of plastic
materials using the following processes:
Collection
SONOFET offers a comprehensive collection service in skips or big bags for recycling polypropylene or polyethylene waste (PP, PE, PS, PA, ASA, ABS…).
They are collected from suppliers of various sizes before arriving at our plants. The material must be pre-sorted according to quality, grade and type.
Sorting and separation
In our plants, waste is then prepared and sorted, separating materials by plastic type, color and process quality.
This helps us to guarantee optimum quality, increase production capacity and maintain control over the raw materials supplied by our sources.
Grinding and separation
The first stage of processing involves crushing and shredding the parts to homogenize their preparation.
Then, depending on the moisture content, the material to be processed (ground or densified). The resulting flakes are fed into granulators, which transform them into pellets after degassing and filtering to remove residual moisture and impurities.
SUSTAINABILITY
As a leader in flexible packaging and plastic films in Morocco, SONOFET is committed to minimizing its environmental impact through innovation and efficiency. The company implements production processes that reduce waste and optimize resource use. It relies on an Integrated Management System (IMS) compliant with ISO 14001 standards for environmental management, and ISO 9001 and 45001 for quality and occupational health and safety, thus ensuring sustainable and responsible operations. Furthermore, SONOFET invests in research and development to design more environmentally friendly packaging and plastic films and encourage the circular economy. Raising awareness among our partners and customers remains an important factor in sustainable practices. This holistic approach reflects SONOFET's commitment to promoting a greener and more sustainable future while maintaining its leadership in the plastic films and packaging market. However, SONOFET has implemented this CSR approach with another priority in mind: the social aspect of the company.

The Importance of the Social Role in CSR
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a comprehensive approach that integrates environmental, economic, and social concerns into the strategy and practices of organizations. Among its three pillars, the social role occupies a central place in SONOFET’s approach, a specialist in the plastics industry, as it directly affects human relations, employee well-being, and the company’s impact on society.
The social role of CSR is first manifested within the company. It encompasses the quality of working conditions, employee health and safety, continuing education, equal opportunities, and diversity within SONFET, a company specializing in the manufacture of plastic films and packaging. A socially responsible company strives to provide an inclusive, respectful, and motivating environment. By investing in skills development and promoting work-life balance, it strengthens employee engagement and loyalty.

Externally, the company’s social role extends to relationships with stakeholders: customers, suppliers, local communities, associations, and public authorities. A company committed to CSR, as we are, contributes to the economic and social development of the regions in which it operates. This involves creating local jobs, supporting community projects, and establishing partnerships with non-profit organizations.
The importance of this social role also lies in its ability to create shared value. By meeting societal expectations, the company strengthens its reputation, attracts talent, and builds customer loyalty. Consumers
